The Barclays Euro Government Inflation-Linked Bond (EGILB) Index measures the performance of the eurozone government inflationlinked bonds. It includes bonds issued by Eurozone member states linked to a domestic measure of inflation or the harmonized EMU HICP index with a sovereign rating of A3/A- or higher. Eurozone member governments who have issued index-eligible inflation-linked bonds presently include France and Germany. Italy and Spain are not currently eligible markets because their sovereign rating is below the A3/Aindex-eligiblity threshold.
